Description: Recording of Juan Carlos Pampin's Apocalypse was postponed due to lack of interest. The title refers to an idea about the state of the art within the 19th century. Algorithms written with the COMMON LISP language controlled the rhythms and production of synthesis sounds to create different textures and densities. Description: Recording of Maggi Payne's Apparent horizon. This was an attempt to convey an aural impression of the sensations. Sound sources consisted of transmissions from/through space and were from Space Shuttle and Apollo missions, satellite transmissions, and shortwave radio broadcasts. Aquapolis

Description: Recording of Lou Mallozzi's Aquapolis. The sound material is language and ambient recordings. The text is written in English, and has been translated into German and Venetian Italian. Description: Recording of Emmanuel Madan's Aram Nal. Aram Nal is a popular Punjabi expression meaning "restfully, peacefully, without hurting". The piece is the product of two contrasting inspirations: firstly, the sound of Balinese Gamelan Gong Kebyar, and the passage between contrasting spaces. The crescendo throughout the piece is the form.

Description: Recording of Rudolf Ruzicka's Aranea. This composition was inspired by the comparison of the spider and the possibilities of the world wide web. The title is Latin for "cobweb" and gives tribute to this concept. The work attempts to express both the characteristics of a spider and the typical features of the modern era amplified by the Internet.

Archée

Description: Recording of Patrick Lenfant's Archée. The main material in this work is fire, an "electonic" fire made from exclusively analog wave generators. The second material is "time" and is an essential part of the work. This piece belongs to a collection of works the composer calls his "electronic sound paintings" which consist of pieces that suggest to the listener an image of the chosen model by stylizing it using electronic sources.

Description: Recording of Ragnar Grippe's L'Archer coupe l'air en deux. All the material was composed by the composer. The sound include soprano voice, voice, logs, water, toys, cello, piano, and radio waves. The technique used is very much based on the composers experiences from French Groupe de Recherches Musicales. Arco Voltaico

Description: Recording of Teodoro Pedro Cromberg's Arco Voltaico. This is a work for electronics that was created for cellist, Andrea Espinzo. In this piece the cello has been integrated into the electroacoustic mix. Four improvised performances of the cello were taken by the analogical recorder and then used to create different mixtures for the final product.

Arghanum V

Description: Recording of Alcides Lanza's Arghanum V. Arghanum (Gk. organon), Arabic name for the byzantine organ. The composer, himself originally from Argentina, has based some harmonic, melodic and gestural aspects of the work on a few notes of a very popular Argentinian tango [El Monito, by Julio de Caro]. The work also includes natural sounds sampled via an AKAI S900.
