Description: Recording of Chapman Welch's Cyclic Math Shred. This work is a controlled improvisation in 4 parts that incorporates two vernacular styles: heavy metal and psychedelic rock and roll. This piece is neither a caricature nor an homage to these styles, but rather an exploration of music that cannot be traced back to its origins. The sound material in this work includes samples of electric guitar.

Description: Recording of Neil Rolnick's Digits. This work was inspired by the use of "digits", as in fingers, to both play the piano and operate a computer. This is a composition for solo piano and digital processing in which the computer only plays sounds which originate from the piano. There can also be a video component to this piece of live images of the pianist's fingers as they play.
