Model validation is the process of determining if the model actually represents the system that it was intended to model. The results obtained by applying outlined procedures to validate four simulation models of solar heated buildings are presented. These models are SOLSIM, SOLCOST, TRNSYS, and SIMSHAC. The scope of the work, summary of important results, and conclusions and recommendations are presented. Appendices contain detailed discussions of the methodology and detailed validation results.
