Interhythm

Description: Piece for electronic keyboard and synthetic sounds. This is a controlled improvisation piece generated on an electronic keyboard with Max MIDI program controlling the different sound patches and dynamics in real time. This piece was realized in 1997.

Fête (3 mvt de Bruits)

Description: Recording of Yves Daoust's Fête (3 mvt de Bruits). This is a work for electronics that includes 3 movements: Children's Corner, Nuit, and Fête. This work was commissioned by the Sonic Art Network (Great Britain) in which they asked the composer to create an environmental painting. The dominant element is noise: "smooth" noise, constant noise, and immutable noise made up of the sum of human machines.

Satélites

Description: Recording of Rubén Hinojosa Chapel's Satélites. This work was created by means of the Fractal Composer system using the calculus of the Henon Map. Most notes were generated by the computer by means of the system's real time interactive capabilities. It premiered in the Havana's XII Contemporary Music Festival.

Available instruments

Description: Recording of William Kleinsasser's Available instruments. This work is meant to be performed by one piano, one Disklavier piano, and a computer system. Description: Recording of Rodolfo Caesar's Circulos ceifados. This work is accompanied by a book as well, which acts as an illustrated lecture on the introduction to electroacoustic composition. Origami Animae

Description: Recording of Rachel MacInturff's Origami Animae. This work was created during a beginning level class in Electroacoustic Media. The students were given pieces of paper and began creating various sounds that came together to make this piece which was diffused in a concert format. The composer gives her thanks to the class and makes a note that she was glad to have recorded the laughing of the students at the end.

Ausbruch

Description: Recording of Carlos Gratzer's Ausbruch. This work was commissioned by INA-GRM and produced in their studios in Paris. The piece explores the relationship between sounds of nature and synthesized sounds. The composer modified and distorted the sounds of nature to persuade the listener into forgetting their origin and instead hear them as new material entirely.

XI pour ensemble et électronique

Description: Recording of Unsuk Chin's XI pour ensemble et électronique. This work consists of five parts that follow one another without interruption but hold their own distinct features. The sound material is a combination of synthesized sounds and samples from real instrumentation. The composer used a unique spatial tuning program that allows free progression between the sixteen tape tracks and the sixteen outputs, regardless of the actual position of the loudspeakers.

Atlas folisipelis

Description: Recording of Florivaldo Menezes' Atlas folisipelis. This work was written for oboe, English horn, and percussion. This work's sound materials were created by oboe, different countries' skin instruments, and 13 different bagpipes. The piece establishes a sound map of various geographical locations and focuses on the different archetypical elements of civilization. The composer separated the piece into 13 distinct parts that are connected without interruption.

Wires...

Description: Recording of Robert Wright's Wires.... This work consists of 4 separate tracks that contain similar sound material. The piano is played over a tape recording which is made up of sounds taken from (or inside) a piano. The work as a whole works to connect each segment of piano through transformations in the tape as well as expand the sonic voice of the piano.
