Effects of UV Stabilizers on Polypropylene Outdoors

Description: This article looks at hindered amine light stabilizers (HALSs) and nano ZnO were used to stabilize polypropylene (PP) film-based formulations that were exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light for different lengths of time, simulating the harsh outdoor weather of Dallas, Texas, USA. Sol-gel synthesized indium tin oxide as a transparent conducting oxide with solution-processed black phosphorus for its integration into solar-cells

Description: This article describes the synthesis of indium tin oxide (ITO) thin films using solgel processing with a mixture of InCl₃, methanol, and SnCl₂, where the solutions were spin coated onto glass substrates. The combined architecture of black phosphorus on ITO thin films shows promise in its use for transparent electronics, which can also serve as a stepping stone for future solar cell platforms.

Prolate and oblate chiral liquid crystal spheroids

Description: Article examining the palette of morphologies that arises when microdroplets are deformed into nonspherical shapes in a controllable manner. Specifically, geometrical confinement and mechanical strain are used to manipulate orientational order, phase transitions, and topological defects that arise in chiral liquid crystal droplets. Dynamic Shear Deformation of a Precipitation Hardened Al0.7CoCrFeNi Eutectic High-Entropy Alloy Using Hat-Shaped Specimen Geometry

Description: The article reports on the shear deformation of a eutectic structured HEA and effect of precipitation on shear deformation, particularly Al₀.₇CoCrFeNi high-entropy alloy (HEA).
