Pyrimidine nucleotide metabolism in Rhizobium meliloti: purification of aspartate transcarbamoylase from a pyrimidine auxotroph

Description: Rhizobium aspartate transcarbamoylase (ATCase; EC 2.1.3.2) was previously believed to be similar to the Pseudomonas ATCase which has been studied extensively. To facilitate the study of the Rhizobium ATCase a pyrimidine-requiring mutant of R. meliloti was isolated and used in the purification of the enzyme.

An analysis of absenteeism cases taken to arbitration: factors used by arbitrators in the decision-making process

Description: The purpose of this study was to examine factors used by arbitrators in deciding the outcome of disciplinary labor arbitration cases involving excessive employee absenteeism. The seven key tests of just cause identified by Carroll Daugherty in the 1966 Enterprise Wire Co. arbitration case were used as the basis for examining the cases in the study.

Description: The problem of this study is to determine the feasibility of using an operant treatment procedure to ameliorate several manifestations of depression. The purpose is to apply contingent positive reinforcement to the detection of nondepressive thoughts and to examine the effects of this procedure upon the frequency of nondepressive thoughts, idiosyncratic depressive manifestations, and scores on the Depression Inventory.
