COVID-19 and the gender gap in work hours

Description: Article using panel data from the US Current Population Survey to examine changes in mothers’ and fathers’ work hours from February through April 2020, the period of time prior to the widespread COVID-19 outbreak in the United States and through its first peak. Using person-level fixed effects models, we find that mothers with young children have reduced their work hours four to five times more than fathers.

Evidence and reporting standards in N-of-1 medical studies: a systematic review

Description: Article describes how authors examined publications of medical N-of-1 trials to examine whether they meet the evidence standards and the criteria for demonstrating evidence of a relation between an independent and an outcome variable per the What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) standards for SCEDs. Structural equation modeling of the associations between amygdala activation, personality, and internalizing, externalizing symptoms of psychopathology

Description: Article examining how amygdala activation to facial expressions was linked with self-report of personality traits and clinical interviews of internalizing and externalizing symptoms of psychopathology.
