Design for ballgown. Color sketch of front and back views of gown with A-line skirt heavily trimmed with oversized applied floral accents. Off the shoulder neckline trimmed to match skirt. Back view illustrates four leaf petal inspired panels trailing from waistline. Handwritten note at far left of sketch: "The one she didn't like / The design would swallow you up and be too heavy / We thought it was odd looking & not / airy enough. I don't think the skirt / has a pretty slope either. OK? / Return both sheets of dresses". Designer's initials, "LW", at bottom left … continued below
