DEDICATIO
MRS. CLARA M. JOHNSON has been an intricate part of the
Austin business community for more than 45 years. She has
been an employee of the King-Tears Mortuary, Inc. for all
of that time. She was manager of the company for 29 years.
In addition to being one of Austin's outstanding business
women, she has also found time ot serve the community
through business organizations and the church. She current-
ly serves on the Board of the Wesley Foundation, The Austin
YWCA, Methodist Home (Waco, Texas) and on the Commission of
Archives and History of the Southwest Texas Conference. She
is also Treasurer of Cheops Court #182, Daughters of Isis.
Clara Johnson is the only woman to serve as the president
of the Independent Funeral Directors Association of Texas.
She is past president of Links, Inc. of Austin and the Austin
Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She is also
a past vice-president of the Texas Conference of Churches.
MRS. CLARA M. JOHNSON represents the best that this community
has to offer.
