Description

Photograph of four people at the Terlingua Chili Cook-Off. The first person on the left wears a pale cowboy hat and a striped button-up shirt with a bandana tied around the neck. The man has short hair, a mustache, and a wrinkled face that smiles at the camera. In the right pocket of the man's shirt are two pens while a button with the image of a train is pinned to the left pocket. To the right of the man is a short woman wearing a ballcap with the words "Wolf brand chili" on it, necklaces, large glasses, long earrings, and a dark shirt with a light collar. On her shirt is pinned a paper with a motif in its top left corner and mostly unreadable text, though part of the paper says "V.I.P". She has short curling hair and a wrinkled face, looking off-camera as the photo is taken. To the woman's right is a tall man wearing a pale cowboy hat, a similarly light-colored letterman jacket, and a white collared shirt. A pinned paper on the man's jacket reads "Jude Terlingua 1982" with stars on either side of "Judge". The man has short white hair and a wrinkled face, looking directly at the camera while resting his right hand on the right shoulder of the woman on to the left. The last person is a woman standing to the previous man's right, wearing a dark cowboy hat, a white button-up shirt tucked into dark pants, and necklaces. Her shirt is decorated with a rabbit patch, train button, hard hat pin, and a page with a drawing of a cowboy lassoing a cow on it along with the words "Here cum de judge". Her hair is pulled back from her wrinkled face as she looks to the right off-camera. The woman looks directly into the camera while smiling. Behind the trio is a wall with a mostly obscured sign on it and wooden beams above, shading the area below.
