Notes

The narrative is in the Northern dialect of Azamgarhi with some code-switching to Urdu. Though Mr. Matenuddin hails from Sonwara, where Southern Azamgarhi is spoken, he speaks the Northern dialect since he had spent his early childhood days in his maternal village in a Northern Azamgarhi speaking region.
