Photograph of two men seated inside of an airplane, looking at the third man who is starting the propeller. The airplane is parked in the middle of an empty field, two blocks of wood blocking the wheels from moving forward. The Civilian Pilot Training Program was instituted at North Texas in October 1940. Flight training, which was provided by Floyd Flying Service, included instruction in air regulations, aerial navigation, and meteorology.
