Automatic lighting controls demonstration

Description: The purpose of this work was to demonstrate, in a real building situation, the energy and peak demand reduction capabilities of an electronically ballasted lighting control system that can utilize all types of control strategies to efficiently manage lighting. Optimization of distribution transformer efficiency characteristics. Final report, March 1979

Description: A method for distribution transformer loss evaluation was derived. The total levalized annual cost method was used and was extended to account properly for conditions of energy cost inflation, peak load growth, and transformer changeout during the evaluation period. Conservation potential of compact fluorescent lamps in India and Brazil

Description: We evaluate the conservation potential of compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) for managing the rapidly increasing electrical energy and peak demand in India and Brazil. Using very conservative assumptions, we find that the cost of conserved energy using 16 W CFLs is 4 and 6 times less than the long range marginal cost of electricity for the two countries. Description: The 2004 Toyota Prius is a hybrid automobile equipped with a gasoline engine and a battery-powered electric motor.
