Description: The experimental results on the oxidation of H from a He stream with CuO pellets were very close to the predicted behavior based on the mathematical model. Steady State Load Tests. Test Results T-554927

Description: Tests were performed to obtain station performance data at various steady-state generator loads. The station 0 was operated for four-hour periods at steady state conditions and levels of 5, 21, 42, and 61 Mw gross generator output. The various readings are presented in tabular form. High-velocity impact tests involving thin spherical shells of tantalum and 304 stainless steel

Description: This experimental program generated data to improve computer-code modeling of impact phenomena. The improved computation technique will be used to design a fissile-material container able to withstand a 335 m/s impact. The program involved flyer-plate-impact tests using thin shells of annealed 304 stainless steel and annealed tantalum at impact velocities of 28 to 180 m/s. The response of a Fermilab-designed ion chamber in pulsed photon fields

Description: This note reports measurements of the response of a Fermilab-designed area monitor ionization chamber used in Chipmunk and Scarecrow detectors to pulsed photon fields of various intensities and durations. The measurements were made to better define the operating limits of the instruments and to understand the possible effects of recombination and space charge on the dose measured by the instruments in pulsed fields. 2 refs., 13 figs., 1 tab.

Multiplexed Molecular Assays for Rapid Rule-Out of Foot-and-Mouth Disease

Description: Two electrically powered mopeds were designed and built. These vehicles offer single-person transportation which is convenient, quiet, low-cost, smooth, and pollution-free. The first moped has a 12 volt electrical system. The second has a 24 volt electrical system. They both have top speeds of about 20 miles per hour.
