Evidence-Based Practices for Children, Youth, and Young Adults with Autism: Third Generation Review

Description: This article is a systematic review describing a set of practices that have evidence of positive effects with autistic children and youth. It is the third iteration of a review of the intervention literature (Odom et al. in J Autism Dev Disorders 40(4):425–436, 2010a; Prevent School Fail 54(4):275–282, 2010b; Wong et al. in https://autismpdc.fpg.unc.edu/sites/autismpdc.fpg.unc.edu/files/imce/documents/2014-EBP-Report.pdf; J Autism Dev Disorders 45(7):1951–1966, 2015), extending coverage to arti… more

NSFDEB-NERC: Collaborative Research: Wildlife corridors: do they work and who benefits?

Description: Data management plan for the grant, "NSFDEB-NERC: Collaborative Research: Wildlife corridors: do they work and who benefits?" Research on the impact of wildlife corridors using genetics as the measure of effectiveness. The study will use 20 independent landscapes to quantify how corridor traits affect gene flow, and will use non-flying mammals as focal species because they are strongly affected by fragmentation. The research team hypothesizes (1) a strong non-linear decline in success (gene flo… more

Comparing the Bayesian Unknown Change-Point Model and Simulation Modeling Analysis to Analyze Single Case Experimental Designs

Description: This article compares two simulation-driven approaches: Bayesian unknown change-point model (BUCP) and simulation modeling analysis (SMA) for three real datasets that exhibit “clear” immediacy, “unclear” immediacy, and delayed effects. In the final analysis, it is recommended that both visual and statistical analyses be conducted for a thorough analysis of SCEDs.

Co-introduction of precipitate hardening and TRIP in a TWIP high-entropy alloy using friction stir alloying

Description: Article exploring friction stir alloying (FSA) to tune the microstructure and a composition of a TWIP high-entropy alloy by adding Ti, and thus activating site-specific deformation mechanisms that occur concomitantly in a single alloy. This approach presents a novel microstructural architecture to design alloys, an approach that combines and optimizes local compositions such that multiple deformation mechanisms can be activated to enhance engineering properties.
