A streamlined method for chiral fermions on the lattice

Description: We discussed the use of renormalization counterterms to restore the chiral gauge symmetry in a lattice theory of Wilson fermions. We show that a large class of counterterms can be implemented automatically by making a simple modification to the fermion determinant.

LIMB Demonstration Project Extension and Coolside Demonstration

Description: This report presents results from the limestone Injection Multistage Burner (LIMB) Demonstration Project Extension. LIMB is a furnace sorbent injection technology designed for the reduction of sulfur dioxide (SO[sub 2]) and nitrogen oxides (NO[sub x]) emissions from coal-fired utility boilers. The testing was conducted on the 105 Mwe, coal-fired, Unit 4 boiler at Ohio Edison's Edgewater Station in Lorain, Ohio. In addition to the LIMB Extension activities, the overall project included demonstra… more

Late Wash Filter Demonstration Unit program plan

Description: This report details a planned a non-radioactive engineering demonstration of the DWPF Late Wash Facility (LWF) for washing salt precipitate feed, and of the In-Tank Precipitate (ITP) filters. The scale will be 0.05 to 0.1, with some larger components, prototypical instruments, and full-length filter elements. Precipitate slurry for late wash tests will be fully irradiated (3EO8 rads). Program needs and objectives are to demonstrate LWF design, optimize LWF process operations including filter cl… more

Bonneville Power Administration`s Commercial Sector Conservation Market.

Description: Bonneville has, as part of its resource plan, accepted targets for commercial conservation which are quite ambitious. To meet these targets, Bonneville will need to acquire as much cost-effective conservation as possible over the next twelve years. With this in mind, this document explores the relative importance of different commercial market segments and the types of assistance each market needs to install as many cost-effective conservation measures in as many buildings as possible. This doc… more
