CYP1B1 expression, a potential risk factor for breast cancer

Description: CYP1B1 expression in non-tumor breast tissue from breast cancer patients and cancer-free individuals was determined to test the hypothesis that high CYP1B1 expression is a risk factor for breast cancer. Large interindividual variations in CYP1B1 expression were found with CYP1B1 levels notably higher in breast cancer patients than cancer-free individuals. Kinetics of phase growth in the Cu-Sn system and application to composite Nb3Sn strands

Description: Nb{sub 3}Sn is the superconductor most used in the R and D of high field accelerator magnets by either the wind and react or the react and wind technique. Description: A new version of Tet- is being finalized for distribution and beta-testing. The new version allows the user to create and modify the TETRAD input deck either graphically or manually. By defining Regions within the TETRAD domain and defining parameters within the regions, parameter estimation is done external to any proprietary software. Proton hexality from an anomalous flavor U(1) and neutrino masses--Linking to the string scale

Description: We devise minimalistic gauged U(1)_X Froggatt-Nielsen models which at low-energy give rise to the recently suggested discrete gauge Z_6 symmetry, proton hexality, thus stabilizing the proton. Assuming three generations of right-handed neutrinos, with the proper choice of X-charges, we obtain viable neutrino masses. The BARD1 C-Terminal Domain Structure and Interactions with Polyadenylation Factor CstF-50

Description: The BARD1 N-terminal RING domain binds BRCA1 while the BARD1 C-terminal ankyrin and tandem BRCT repeat domains bind CstF-50 to modulate mRNA processing and RNAP II stability in response to DNA damage. Here we characterize the BARD1 structural biochemistry responsible for CstF- 50 binding.
