SATB1 tethers multiple gene loci to reprogram expression profiledriving breast cancer metastasis

Description: Global changes in gene expression occur during tumor progression, as indicated by expression profiling of metastatic tumors. How this occurs is poorly understood. Transmission Electron Microscopy Study of InN Nanorods

Description: InN nanorods were grown on a, c-, and r-plane of sapphire and also on Si (111) and GaN (0001) by non-catalytic, template-free hydride metal-organic vapor phase epitaxy and studied by transmission electron microscopy, electron energy loss (EELS) and photoluminescence (PL) at room temperature. Unexpected Cancellations in Gravity Theories

Description: Recent computations of scattering amplitudes show that N = 8 supergravity is surprisingly well behaved in the ultraviolet and may even be ultraviolet finite in perturbation theory. The novel cancellations necessary for ultraviolet finiteness first appear at one loop in the guise of the ''no-triangle hypothesis''. Free-surface velocity measurements of plates driven by reacting and detonating RX-03-BB and PBX-0404

Description: Copper plates 90 mm in diameter, of thickness 0.25 mm and 0.5 mm, were accelerated by an adjacent 17 mm thick cylinder of RX-03-BB or PBX-9404-03. Prospects for generating 1-10 TPa pressures with a railgun

Description: It has been demonstrated that a plasma arc can be accelerated along two current carrying parallel rails and used to accelerate a projectile. We have performed an extensive analysis and found the task of using a railgun to accelerate an impactor plate to velocities of 10 to 40 km/s to be feasible with contemporary technology. This range of impact velocities would enable shock pressures of 1 to 10 TPa to be generated for EOS research.

Description: The potential for latch-up, a pnpn self-sustaining low impedance state, is inherent in standard bulk CMOS-integrated circuit structures.
