Description: From introduction: The data presented here are reconnaissance data intended for use in identifying broad areas for further study. While care has been taken to provide reliable sampling and analyses, verification of individual analyses is beyond the scope of this report. The data should be viewed statistically because "one-point anomalies" may be misleading. Regional trends, however, should be reliable. This report is one of a series presenting data obtained by SRL reconnaissance.

Hydrogeochemical and Stream Sediment Detailed Geochemical Survey for Lakeview, Oregon

Description: Results of the Lakeview detailed geochemical survey are reported. Field and laboratory data are reported for 231 groundwater, 881 stream sediment, and 303 stream water samples. Statistical and areal distributions of uranium and possible uranium-related variables are displayed. A generalized geologic map of the area is provided and pertinent geologic factors which may be of significance in evaluating the potential for uranium mineralization are briefly discussed.
