Description: Handwritten notes from the 1978-88 Linguistic Field Methods course at University of California, Berkeley on KokBorok with the consultant Prashanta Tripura. Traditional narrative about Denlikinthang

Description: Hakthoi Phuoitong tells the traditional story Denlikinthang. In this story, Denlikinthang is born to a virgin in Bomrang village. Denlikinthang later becomes the leader of a new village called Khozol. He is a male Hrangkhol speaker from North Cachar Hills in Assam (currently living in Zion village, Haflong), around 64 years old at the time of recording. He also speaks Bengali.
