The waste land

Recording of Elżbieta Sikora's The waste land, for fixed media. The piece is a journey through time and spaces. The present is mixed with the past, the ordinary with the extraordinary, dream with reality. The work was commissioned by the Experimental Studio of Polish Radio and was realized in October 1979. The text comes from T. Elliot's poem "The Waste Land."

Recording of Paul Lansky's "Six fantasies on a poem by Thomas Campion" performed by Hannah Mackey. It is a suite of computer synthesized studies of the reading of the poem "Sweet-cheeked Laura" by Thomas Campion. In this work, Lansky takes a single text, which was then read by his wife and frequent collaborator Hannah Mackay, and subjected it to a variety of aural manipulations. The medium is the matter

Recording of Hans Poort's "The medium is the matter." The music is made of repeated results of electronic sound circuits, presented as dynamic musical processes. By teaching on tape, the material aspect of the "here and now" of poetry, both music and words are emphasized.
