Future aircraft and potential effects on stratospheric ozone and climate

Influences of clouds and rain on the large-scale transport and deposition of sulfur

Description: This paper describes the application of a three-dimensional, global-scale Eulerian model with an explicit description of cloud and chemical processes. Simulation results describing the transport of sulfur from North America and Europe across the north Atlantic Ocean during a climatological July are presented. Computer codes for dispersion of dense gas

Description: Two models for describing the behavior of dense gases have been adapted for specific applications at the Savannah River Plant (SRP) and have been programmed on the IBM computer. One of the models has been used to predict the effect of a ruptured H/sub 2/S storage tank at the 400 Area. Planetary-Wave Behavior and Arctic Air Pollution

Description: An attempt was made to relate episodes of air pollution at Barrow, Alaska, containing vanadium, to the behavior of planetary waves in middle and high latitudes. Parametrization of net radiation at the surface using data from the Wangara experiment

Description: Hourly Wangara boundary layer data (Clark et al., 1971) was used to substantiate previously derived empirical equations of the surface radiation budget. Disruption of satellite-to-ground station communication links by nuclear fireballs

Description: Diffraction around nuclear fireballs near the line of sight for satellite-to-ground communication links is calculated numerically. MESOI: an interactive Lagrangian trajectory puff diffusion model

Description: MESOI is an interactive Lagrangian trajectory puff diffusion model based on an earlier model by Start and Wendell at the Air Resources Laboratory Field Office at Idaho Falls, Idaho.
