Hop Ken

Description: Hop Ken is a recording of a real-time (i.e. live) performance using the Prophet 2000 series sampler under the control of a Macintosh computer. I think of the work as an attempt to impart a number of different musical energies to a well known piece of orchestral material. Hop Ken was the recipient of the 1988 Betty Freeman Award, sponsored by Betty Freeman and the California Institute of the Arts.
