Drumming Behavior of Selected North American Stoneflies (Plecoptera)

Description: Drumming is first described for five North American stonefly species, Acroneuria evoluta, Doroneuria baumanni, Isoperla namata, Chernokrilus misnomus, and Pictetiella expansa. Signals of Acroneuria lycorias, Phasganophora capitata and Isoperla signata are further described. Drumming was not recorded from Amhinemura delosa. Estimating Generalized Flood Skew Coefficients for Michigan

Description: From purpose and scope: The purpose of this report is to compare and evaluate four methods of estimating flood-frequency skew coefficients for Michigan. These methods are based on use of (1) the generalized skew map of the United States, (2) maps showing lines of equal mean skew of Michigan, (3) mean regional station skews, and (4) skew-prediction equations.

Ground-Water Contamination at Wurtsmith Air Force Base, Michigan

Description: From introduction: The U.S. Geological Survey, at the request of the U.S. Air Force, began an investigation of geologic and hydrologic conditions at Wurtsmith Air Force Base in September 1979. The investigation was prompted by the discovery that an underground storage tank containing trichloroethylene (TCE) had leaked, contaminating Base water-supply wells. Subsequent information suggested that the trichloroethylene had moved off-Base.

Description: Video recording from The Black Academy of Arts and Letters recorded during the televised broadcast of the music documentary program "Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever" produced by Suzanne de Passe for Motown Records, to commemorate Motown's 25th year. The 1983 program was taped before a live audience in Pasadena, California on March 25, 1983 and broadcast on NBC May 16th. The tape shows the performance of black celebrity musicians.
