Production of geothermal fluids by the natural flashing process. Design and analysis of geothermal wells in two-phase flow. First annual report

Description: The two-phase flow system is analyzed as it develops and changes in the well. The product of the study will be a calculational technique to allow the design of geothermal wells in two-phase flow. The overall approach to the project is summarized, and the nature of the two-phase flow problem is discussed. The various elements of the program are presented. (MHR)

Development and evaluation of DOP generators for special uses

Description: The Environmental Standards Group at Mound Laboratory uses ''cold'' DOP generators to produce background aerosol concentration for testing HEPA filters in clean-room operations. Two simple, portable, air-operated aerosol generators were built and tested to determine their performance. The results show the particle size distribution is in the 0.3 to 0.8 ..mu..m range and that /sup 1///sub 4/ or /sup 3///sub 8/ in. i.d. tubing to the nozzles should be used.
