Washington State water quality temperature standards as related to reactor operation

Description: The purpose of this report is to provide a basic working tool for determining the relationship between the allowable temperature increase within the Columbia River reach at the Hanford Site and the actual temperature increase as associated with various reactor operating modes. Microautoradiographic characterization of ROVER bore coating interfaces

Description: Declassified 28 Aug 1973. In an effort to understand the anomalous nonadherence of the NbC bore coatings on fueled ROVER elements, a modified microautoradiographic method was used to reveal the U distribution at the coating/ graphite interface. The method was used on elements manufactured with a reduced U content at the interface. Correlation between alpha tracks and the surrounding microstructure was excellent. Development of a process to lower the thermal expansion of hot pressed niobium--graphite composites

Description: Declassified 30 Aug 1973. Recent analysis of the NERVA hot end support system revealed that the high with-grain (WG) thermal expansion and the high creep deformation of NRX-A6 NERVA-type 75 wt% niobium carbide -- 25 wt% graphite hot pressed composite material may not be entirely satisfactory in future designs. Precise Admittance of a Monopole.

Description: The purpose of this paper is to obtain the admittance of a monopole antenna to a higher degree of accuracy than has heretofore been reported in the literature. The model selected for analysis consists of a base-driven monopole of arbitrary dimensions (length and radius) protruding perpendicularly from an infinite ground plane.
