Burlington Bottoms Habitat Evaluation

Description: Burlington Bottoms, consisting of approximately 417 acres of riparian and wetland habitat, was purchased by the Bonneville Power Administration in November 1991. The site is located approximately 1/2 mile north of the Sauvie Island Bridge (T2N R1W Sections 20, 21), and is bound on the east side by Multnomah Channel and on the west side by the Burlington Northern Railroad right-of-way and U.S. Highway 30 (Figures 1 and 2). Hydrology of Malheur Lake, Harney County, Southeastern Oregon

Description: Abstract: The various components of inflow and outflow to and from the lake and their relative magnitudes were identified. In 1972 water year the total inflow to the lake was 200,000 acre-feet, but it was only 75,000 acre-feet in 1973 water year.
