National Uranium Resource Evaluation: McDermitt Quadrangle, Nevada

Description: From Purpose and Scope of Study: "The McDermitt NTMS Quadrangle, Nevada, was evaluated to identify and delineate areas and geologic units that exhibit characteristics favorable for the occurrence of uranium deposits. Geologic environments were evaluated primarily on the basis of surface investigations; only a limited amount of subsurface data was available. Each environment was categorized as favorable, unfavorable, or unevaluated for uranium deposits."

National Uranium Resource Evaluation: Elko Quadrangle, Nevada and Utah

Description: From Introduction: "The Elko Quandrangle, in northeastern Nevada and western Utah between latitude 40º and 41º and longitude 114º and 116º (Fig. 1), was evaluated to identify geologic units and delineate areas that exhibit characteristics favorable for the occurrence of uranium deposits. Geologic environments were evaluated on the basis of surface investigations and limited subsurface data."

National Uranium Resource Evaluation: Vya Quadrangle, Nevada, Oregon, and California

Description: From Introduction: "The Vya 2º quadrangle (Fig. 1), in northwestern Nevada and small portions of California and Oregon, was evaluated to identify geologic environments and to delineate areas that have characteristics favorable for uranium deposits. Reconnaissance sampling in the Vya Quadrangle began in 1978, but final evaluation of the uranium favorability of the quadrangle was began in 1978, but final evaluation of the uranium favorability of the quadrangle was begun in June 1980."

National Uranium Resource Evaluation: Millett Quadrangle, Nevada

Description: From Purpose and Scope: "The Millett 1º x 2º National Topographic Map Series (NTMS) quadrangle, Nevada (Fig. 1), was evaluated to identify and delineate geologic environments that exhibit characteristics favorable, unfavorable, or unevaluated, according to criteria established by Mickle and Mathews (eds., 1978). The evaluation began November 1, 1977 and ended January 1, 1980. It was conducted in three phases: literature research and preparation of a work plan, field work, and data evaluation an… more

National Uranium Resource Evaluation: Reno Quadrangle, Nevada and California

Description: From Introduction: "The Reno Quadrangle, Nevada and California (Fig. 1), was evaluated to a depth of 1500 m (5,000 ft) to identify geologic environments and delineate areas that exhibit characteristics favorable for uranium deposits. Favorable environments are those that could contain at least 100 tons U3O8 at an average grade of at least 0.01% U3O8."

National Uranium Resource Evaluation: Wells Quadrangle, Nevada, Idaho and Utah

Description: From Purpose and Scope: "The Wells 2º Quadrangle, Nevada, Utah, and Idaho (Fig. 1), was evaluated to identify and delineate areas and geologic environments that exhibit characteristics favorable for the occurrence of uranium deposits. All geologic environments in the quadrangle were evaluated to a depth of 1500 m (5,000 ft) using all available surface and subsurface data."
