In other words, the writer was interested in finding out whether it is possible, as far as can be determined, to develop an unpopular child to such an extent that he will be more social, more likable, and, in the end, more acceptable by his school group.

The procedure was to find all of the cases in which there is any doubt as to the Texas law, and to quote the law or ruling as given by Peters and Pomeroy, and then to give the law or ruling of the State of Texas.
