An Analysis of an Environmental Performance with the use of Light and Projected Photographic Imagery

Description: The primary objective of this creative project was to create an environmental performance through the use of light as the principal medium. Most of the photographic imagery had been completed. The remaining task involved creating an effective and workable system to integrate the projected imagery with the neon light placements. Each system, illustrated in the figures, attempted to create a different approach in using the light mediums.

A Structuralist Analysis of my Art

Description: This project is an investigation into the sources of sustained, thematically related images through a series of drawings, prints, photographs and sculpture. Because I have always worked best when I have hit upon an image or set of images of considerable symbolic depth, and because I have generally found such images intuitively, a major portion of this project is to determine if such images can be discovered more consciously.

Exploration of Electronic Imagery for Gallery Presentation

Description: The focus of this creative project was the production and presentation of electronic imagery generated by personal computers and peripherals. By it's nature, electronic imagery is dependent on light. I proposed that the exhibition project would include computer graphics images presented in a variety of formats, both static and moving.

Constructions: An Investigation into Childhood From a Perspective of Loss

Description: The interaction of the construction and the images was the focus of my proposed exploration. Previously, I viewed the images as the vehicle for content with little thought to the construction. I thought of the construction as a painter might think of his or her canvas, a place for the images to reside. The relationship between constructions as part of my content is essential. Exploration of form and image will push the limits of how the images and constructions may interact. Now that I was cons… more

Connections

Description: In my problem-in-lieu-of-thesis, I investigated the connections formed between images which refer to disorder and those which connote imposed order; therefore, I pursued the following questions: 1. What connotations did each of the images have for me? 2. How was each image affected by taking it out of one context and placing it in a new one? 3. What relationships formed between images thus juxtaposed?
