Modeling of a dissolution system for transuranic compounds

A system is currently being developed at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory to treat transuranic wastes by means of a mediated electrochemical oxidation process. The process involves generating Ag({sup ++}) from a solution of silver nitrate and nitric acid in an electrochemical cell.
