Description: This report covers progress under the current funding period 1 Jan 1992 to 1 Jan 1993 and presents the continuation proposal for 1 Jan 1993 to 1 Jan 1994. Description: An x-ray microscopy resource center for biological x-ray imaging vvill be built at the Advanced Light Source (ALS) in Berkeley. The unique high brightness of the ALS allows short exposure times and high image quality. Two microscopes, an x-ray microscope (XM) and a scanning x-ray microscope (SXM) are planned.
