Peripheral Circulating Exosomal miRNAs Potentially Contribute to the Regulation of Molecular Signaling Networks in Aging

Description: This article aims to understand some of the causes of aging and the underlying mechanisms that may lead to interventions that could reverse certain aging processes and slow development of aging-related diseases. People are living longer than ever. Consequently, they have a greater chance for developing a functional impairment or aging-related disease, such as a neurodegenerative disease, later in life.

Exploring NIR Aza-BODIPY-Based Polarity Sensitive Probes with ON-and-OFF Fluorescence Switching in Pluronic Nanoparticles

Description: The articles is about a study of the response of six NIR aza-BODIPY-based and structurally similar fluorophores to polarity and viscosity for incorporation inside Pluronic nanoparticles as switchable fluorescent probes (SFPs). Based on their results, all of these fluorophores were moderately to strongly sensitive to the polarity of the microenvironment. They concluded that attaching amine groups to the fluorophore is not necessary for having strong polarity sensitive probes.
