Description: Extension agreement for Mrs. Loriette C.Redway which secured the payment of a $250.00 bond and extended the time in which the loan amount was to be paid. The agreement states that the principal sum plus interest, 7% per year payable semi-annually, will be due three years from January 1, 1901. Tombstones on Glass.: Monument on Which the Lettering Was Done by Sand Blast.

Description: Newspaper article describing the first glass tombstone. The tombstone, created for the grave of Elizabeth Pepper by her son Matthias Pepper, is in the cemetery overlooking the city of Kittanning. According to the article, glass was chosen due to its "practical indestructibility." Elizabeth Pepper died at the age of 77 in Ford City on February 4, 1892.
