Light-particle emission from heavy-ion reactions. [138 to 208 MeV]

Description: Experimental studies of energetic light (Z = 1,2) ions from heavy-ion-induced reactions are reported. Energy spectra of p, d, t, /sup 3/He, and ..cap alpha.. from 208.2-MeV /sup 16/O on targets of carbon, iron, and zirconium show only small variations with target mass. Coincidence measurements for 194-MeV /sup 12/C on /sup 60/Ni show much higher multiplicity for energetic protons in coincidence with Z = 1,2 ions that with projectile-like ions. Benchmark Critical Experiments on Low-Enriched Uranium Oxide Systems With H/U = 0. 77

Description: Ten benchmark experiments were performed at the Critical Mass Laboratory at Rockwell International'1s Rocky Flats Plant, Golden, Colorado, for the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission. They provide accurate criticality data for low-enriched damp uranium oxide (U/sub 3/O/sub 8/) systems.
