Recycling Ground Water in Waushara County, Wisconsin: Resource Management for Cold-Water Fish Hatcheries

Description: Recycling water within the local ground-water system is an effective means to increase quantity and control water temperature of the water supply and to control or avoid environmental pollution. A fish-rearing facility, operated for 15 months, returned water to the local ground-water system through an infiltration pond and recycled 83 percent of its water supply. Measurement and Prediction of Sediment Yields in Wisconsin Streams

Description: From introduction: This report presents practical and useful sediment-yield information for Wisconsin. Measured and estimated sediment yields are supplemented by information on suspended-sediment concentration and particle size of suspended and bed material for 84 sites in the State. To expand the usefulness of these data, an additional section in the report presents a method to estimate or predict sediment yields in ungaged streams.

Oral History Interview with John Kuhn, October 25, 1976

Description: Interview with John Kuhn, a Navy WWII veteran from Winnebago, Minnesota. Kuhn discusses his experience at Pearl Harbor during the Japanese attack on December 7th, 1941, including joining the Navy in 1940 and training, attachment to the USS Thornton, radio duty on Ford Island, the events of the attack, and the following evening.
