Aggression and Social Interest in Behavior Disordered Students

Description: This study investigated whether behavior disordered children would decrease aggressive behavior if their social interest were developed. The Effects of Pulp and Paper Mill Wastewaters on Phytoplankton Primary Productivity in the Red River, Louisiana

Description: Responses of phytoplankton productivity in the Red River to unbleached pulp and paper mill wastewaters were monitored using in situ ^14C incubation. Preoperational studies, conducted prior to the discharge of mill wastewaters varied seasonally, but revealed similar productivity trends when compared with postoperational studies, conducted after mill discharges began entering the Red River. An Analysis of the Participant Selection Process Under the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act: Texas and Louisiana

Description: Federal guidelines required prime sponsors under the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act, or CETA, to serve the "significant segments" of the eligible population. This study analyzes whether prime sponsors in Texas and Louisiana correctly identified and served those segments. This study finds that eligible ethnic groups were properly identified and were served equitably; age and gender distinctions, however, were inadequately observed in the providing of services.

Strong Mid-Depth Currents and a Deep Cyclonic Gyre in the Gulf of Mexico

Description: This report is about the exploration of the possibility that the deep flow around the edges of the Gulf circulates in a cyclonic, or counter-clockwise direction. The existence of this flow was purely theoretical but this study shows that such is observed reliably.

Correlation of Backswamp Sediments: Atchafalaya Test Section 6, Atchafalaya Levee System, Louisiana

Description: This report describes the results of a series of tests on soil borings taken in Atchafalaya Test Section VI, a 2000-ft-long portion of the Atchafalaya Basin Protection Levee System in south-central Louisiana. The samples were tested to interpret the depositional layers in the foundations soils and to determine various engineering properties.
