Description: From abstract: Radioactive manganese deposits have been found in two swamps and at one locality on the northeast bank of the Rio Itapicuru near Mosquete, municipio of Itapicuru, State of Bahia, Brazil. The occurrences are related to warm springs and consist of surficial manganiferous sinter and of sandstone impregnated with manganese.

ATPA Renewal: Background and Issues

Description: This report outlines the various aspects of the Andean Trade Preference Act (ATPA), including significant dates and modifications. Description: Abstract: The Antofagasta area, in the Province of Antofagasta, Chile, was investigated in September and August 1958 by two field parties of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission and the Instituto de Investigaciones Geológicas de Chile, who were working under a cooperative agreement between the teo governments. the purpose of the investigation was to examine the area for the possible occurrence of commercial deposits of uranium.
