Description: This article concerns the artistry and career of Basile Bolotine, 1895-1981, a beloved countertenor soloist in Serge Jaroff's Don Cossack Choir. It was a world-famous a cappella Russian emigre ensemble that toured extensively all over the non-Soviet world for nearly sixty years.
