Burgin discusses growing up, joining the CCC in 1934, assignment to a camp at Maydelle, Texas, boxing on his first night in the barracks, transfer to Lindale, projects worked, engineering training, leave and recreation, transfer to Marshall, paperwork, the relationship between CCC workers and local residents, and thoughts on bringing back the CCC for current generations.
