A description is given of the ferrite biasing system for the four tuned radio frequency cavities of the synchrotron. Each ferrite loaded double cavity has a single turn bias winding which is driven to a peak current of 13,500 amperes by a push-pull transformer arrangement. There is automatic tap changing of the transformer to accommodate the variable impedance load (for power considerations).
