59Fe(n,g)60Fe and 60Fe(n,g)61Fe Reaction Rates from Local Systematics

Description: We present modeled neutron capture cross sections relevant to stellar production of {sup 60}Fe. Systematics for the input parameters required by the Hauser-Feshbach statistical model are developed based on measured data in the local region of the isotopic plane (20 {le} Z {le} 29, 43 {le} A {le} 65). These parameters and used to calculate reaction cross sections and rates for select target isotopes. Modeled cross sections are compared to experimental data where available. Aerodynamic characteristics of a 60 degree delta wing having a half-delta tip control at a Mach number of 4.04

Description: From Introduction: "Numerous tests of tip controls on delta wings at transonic and low supersonic speeds have shown that such configurations provide satisfactory rolling-moment effectiveness, and that the hinge can be controlled by proper location of the hinge line (ref. 1). The purpose of the present tests is to determine the characteristics of such a configuration at Mach number of 4.04 and a Reynolds number of 5.8 X 10^6, based on the wing mean aerodynamic chord."

AI/Simulation Fusion Project at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory

Description: This presentation first discusses the motivation for the AI Simulation Fusion project. After discussing very briefly what expert systems are in general, what object oriented languages are in general, and some observed features of typical combat simulations, it discusses why putting together artificial intelligence and combat simulation makes sense. We then talk about the first demonstration goal for this fusion project.
